4. Gases Fill A Container & Exerts Pressure

Solids have a fixed shape and volume. Liquids have a fixed volume, but take the shape of their containers. Gases expand to fill & take the shape of their containers. Gases exert pressure on the container in all directions. This is caused by the collisions of the gas molecules with the walls of the container.
